New Homes at St Fergus
This new build development of eight amenity homes for the elderly or individuals with particular needs emphasises the Associations commitment to investing in the changing needs in Ferguslie Park.
The St Fergus development site is at the corner of Oakridge Crescent and Blackstoun Road and next to St Fergus Chapel and will greatly enhance a long disused piece of ground.
Consultation over the last year has lead to award winning architects Anderson Bell Christie creating modern designs which meet the communities’ needs.
Throughout the year we have been working on the St Fergus development and the work completed included appointing a design team, developing full designs, purchasing the land and gaining planning permission.
A contractor to build the new homes has been appointed and they started building in August 2008. The cost for building the eight new homes is over £1million with £625,000 being contributed by the Scottish Government. We aim to complete the homes by April 2009.
