Youthbuild

Youthbuild provides training, employment and personal support to disadvantaged young people. It aims to equip the young people with the necessary skills which will enable them to access sustainable employment. Youthbuild focuses on employment in construction and maintenance related industries.

For a number of years the Association has supported Youthbuild and this year we have continued with this support. With our colleagues in FLAIR we have aided Youthbuild in securing Communities Scotland Wider Role funding. This has ensured the continuation of Youthbuild.

We are also committed to employing Youthbuild trainees locally. In the last year we have had two Youthbuild trainees within the office working with our maintenance department. The trainees were young local people from Ferguslie Park. We have now offered full time employment to one of the trainees.
